NeoWare Inc. is the company behind NeoZip and a growing family of tools for secure, verifiable digital data. We design open source software and standards that help people, teams, and AI systems work with files they can trust — combining proven archiving formats with modern cryptography and blockchain anchoring.

Our vision

We believe the next era of software needs more than compression and storage. Digital files, credentials, and agent interactions should carry proof of who created them, when they existed, and whether they have been altered. NeoWare exists to make that practical — building on decades of trust in formats like ZIP while applying today's advances in computing, cryptography, and distributed verification.

The ZIP format has been a global standard for file packaging since PKWARE introduced it in 1989. NeoWare honors that legacy: our products work where ZIP works, and our platform extends it for workflows that demand stronger security, ownership, and auditability. NeoZip is our flagship application — owned and developed by NeoWare Inc. — and serves as the reference implementation for much of what we build.

Our mission is to create next-generation data tools that meet today's requirements while anticipating tomorrow's — from regulated archiving and portable identity to AI agents that need verifiable context. We focus on performance, openness, and security so that trust travels with the data itself.

NeoWare's open source foundation is built on two npm libraries developers can inspect, integrate, and contribute to. Together they power trusted archiving, verification, and blockchain anchoring across the NeoWare platform.

Create, compress, encrypt, and verify ZIP archives in browser and Node.js. Includes AES-256 encryption, multiple compression methods, hash verification, and full TypeScript support.
